Reverse osmosis, for water you want stripped back rather than filtered. A booster pump pushes it through a membrane fine enough to leave dissolved metals and salts behind, and a mineral cartridge then puts calcium and magnesium back so what comes out does not taste flat. This is the one for borehole water, for a high dissolved-solids reading, or for a municipal supply that changes character through the year.
